The concept design for a-maze started in August 2013 and was completed by October of the same year. Engineering and production development began soon after and finished in December. The knife block is now in the production phase, with the initial product release scheduled for March 2014.

The a-maze knife block has received recognition for its outstanding design. It was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in the Bakeware, Tableware, Drinkware, and Cookware Design category in 2014. This prestigious award is given to designs that demonstrate exceptional expertise, innovation, and artistic skill.
